What is the Starting Assessment?+
It is a first-login assessment for new students covering English, verbal reasoning, mathematics and non-verbal or spatial skills. It gives the app useful starting evidence, but there is no pass or fail and it is not an official entrance-test score.
How does the plan become personalised?+
The app uses completed assessment, revision, Guided Practice, Timed Drill and mock answers to identify relative strengths and weaker skills. Daily revision remains balanced while recommendations and targeted practice give extra attention where it is most useful.
Can I review individual sessions?+
Yes. Completed sessions remain in the PIN-protected parent area with question outcomes, timing, subject and skill detail. Sessions with no completed questions are not added to progress or reports.
What happens when the free week ends?+
Your subscription starts automatically at £49 a month on day 8. Cancel before then in the parent area and nothing is taken. Cancel later and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, with no further renewal.
Why do you ask for a card before the free week?+
Adding a card is what starts the trial, so your child can begin the same day and keep their progress without a second setup step later. Nothing is charged on day one. You can see the exact date the free week ends inside the app from the moment you sign up, and you can cancel in the parent area at any point before it.
Who takes the payment?+
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details never reach Pathway Eleven and are never stored on our servers. One price covers one child, with no setup fee.
Who checks the questions?+
Questions are generated from reviewed templates and then reviewed and approved by a qualified teacher before they are released to families. Anything a child reports as unclear is quarantined and excluded from progress while it is looked at.
Do I need a confirmed exam date?+
No. Setup pencils in the date your child’s year group normally sits, clearly marked as provisional, and you can change it or clear it whenever your registration confirms the sitting. The exam date and target grammar school are optional.
Does it assume eligibility or catchment?+
No. Selecting a grammar school is optional and never implies registration, catchment, Pupil Premium status or admissions eligibility.
What happens when my child needs help with a question?+
The student chooses whether they need more teaching or think something is wrong. The app adds misunderstood skills to guided repair practice, while suspected content problems are quarantined and excluded from progress automatically.
