1. The family account
The account must be created and managed by a parent, carer or other adult with authority to provide the child’s preparation information. The adult is responsible for keeping the parent email, password and PIN secure and for supervising the child’s use of the service.
Information supplied must be reasonably accurate. Tell us promptly if you believe the account has been accessed without permission.
2. What Pathway Eleven provides
Pathway Eleven provides original 11 plus preparation activities, a starting assessment, guided learning, timed practice, mock tests and parent progress reporting. Features may be improved or replaced as the service develops.
Pathway Eleven is an educational preparation tool. It is not a school, admissions authority or examination provider, and it does not guarantee an examination score, grammar-school place or admissions outcome.
Parents remain responsible for checking official registration deadlines, eligibility, catchment, test dates and admissions rules with the relevant school or authority.
3. Fair and acceptable use
You may use the service for the children covered by your family plan. You must not:
- share account access outside your household or resell access;
- copy, scrape, publish or systematically extract questions, explanations or software;
- attempt to bypass security, parent controls, schedules or account restrictions;
- upload malicious, unlawful or rights-infringing material;
- use automation in a way that disrupts the service or other families.
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect a child, another family, the service or our legal rights. We will normally explain the reason and provide a fair opportunity to resolve the issue.
4. Learning content
Every question is reviewed and approved by a qualified teacher before release, but mistakes can still occur. Families can report a suspected content problem inside the app. Reported questions are removed from the child’s progress calculations while reviewed.
External materials and school websites are controlled by their respective owners. A link does not mean that the owner endorses Pathway Eleven.
5. Price, free trial and cancellation
Pathway Eleven has one plan: £49 per month, which includes every subject, the adaptive learning plan, timed practice, full mock tests and parent progress reporting for the child on the family account.
The free trial. Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial with full access to everything. A payment card is taken when the account is created, but nothing is charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing at all. If you have not cancelled, the first monthly payment of £49 is collected automatically on the day after the trial ends. We send a reminder email before this happens, stating the date and the amount.
Payments and card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details are held by Stripe under its own security standards; Pathway Eleven never sees or stores your full card number. Receipts are emailed for every payment.
Renewal and cancellation. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in the parent area’s subscription controls, or by emailing info@pathwayeleven.co.uk. Cancelling stops the next payment; access continues to the end of the period already paid for, and the family learning record is kept unless you ask for deletion.
Changing your mind. UK law gives you 14 days from creating the account to cancel. The 7-day free trial gives full access immediately at your request, so cancelling during the trial means nothing is charged at all. Any mandatory cancellation, refund or consumer rights provided by UK law continue to apply and are not limited by these terms.
If a payment fails. If the card on file is declined and the payment cannot be collected, the account is paused: sign-in shows a screen for updating the card, and full access resumes as soon as a payment succeeds. We do not delete any family data because of a failed payment.
Price changes. If the monthly price changes, we will email the parent at least 30 days before the first renewal at the new price, so there is always time to cancel first.
6. Availability and family records
We aim to keep the service available and family progress synchronised, but temporary interruptions can occur. Offline progress should synchronise when a connection returns. Parents should keep an exported backup before deleting records or making major account changes.
Planned maintenance and material incidents will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
7. Intellectual property
The Pathway Eleven software, branding, original questions, explanations and page designs belong to Pathway Eleven or its licensors. The family receives a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use them while entitled to access the service. Datasets and tables that Pathway Eleven marks as published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, such as the West Midlands 11 plus results tracker, may be reused with attribution under that licence.
Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of family personal data to Pathway Eleven. Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Notice.
8. Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility where doing so would be unlawful, including responsibility for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Subject to those protections, Pathway Eleven is not responsible for admissions decisions, changes made by schools or authorities, external websites, or losses caused by misuse of the account. These terms do not affect statutory consumer rights.
9. Ending the agreement
A parent may stop using the service, cancel a paid renewal where applicable, erase the family learning record or request full account deletion. An account paused for a failed payment can be reactivated at any time by updating the card, or closed and deleted on request like any other account. We may end the agreement if the service is withdrawn or these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached, subject to applicable consumer rights.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms to reflect new features, legal requirements or improved protections. Material changes will be explained to parents and a new agreement requested where appropriate.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. A parent living elsewhere in the UK retains any mandatory protections provided by the law that applies to them.
